Project Description
The project involved providing comprehensive design-build services, covering all aspects from labor and materials to tools and equipment for the renovation of the third floor at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, FL. The scope encompassed replacing
existing finishes and installing specialty items and cabinets.
Tasks included removing existing wallpaper, flooring, and cove base, as well as handrails and wall protection guard rails in the main corridors. Also, furnishing and installing containment and HEPA filtration systems, implementing infection control barriers, and removing and storing electrical and medical gas fixtures for reinstallation. Removing and replacing high-impact wainscoting, repairing drywall, and installing
specialty items were integral to the project. New work involved renovating the nurses’ station, patching, installing wainscot protection, new vinyl plank flooring, and water-resistant drywall. The completion includes painting, installing fixtures, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
