Construction Management and Engineering Services (CMES) for the project encompassed
a comprehensive range of responsibilities. These services included construction
management, engineering services, and onsite inspections for all construction activities,
aimed at providing crucial support to the VA NCA Project Manager.
Our CMES professionals and onsite inspectors played a pivotal role in inspecting both the
quality and quantity of the work performed, offering valuable insights to the Contracting
Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer Representative (COR)/Project Manager (PM) on
various construction-related issues. Additionally, they were instrumental in proposing
economic solutions for any challenges that may arise during the construction process.
Part of the daily tasks involved reviewing all submittals and shop drawings and maintaining
meticulous records in an organized electronic directory format. This included crucial
project documents such as meeting minutes, daily construction reports, digital photos,
and critical emails related to schedule delays, cost changes, and construction issues.
Furthermore, WFS handled documentation related to contract modifications, payment
requests, testing reports, certificates of compliance, and various plans, such as security,
fire safety, environmental protection, and health and safety plans.
